PowerBuilder meets JEE

PowerBuilder Developers have been able to leverage their business object code in the third-tier with EAServer for several years.

PowerBuilders can develop non-visual objects (NVOs) and deploy them to EAServer where their services are exposed to clients in the same fashion EJBs work for Java developers.

PowerBuilder 11.5 (Enterprise Edition) ships with an Application Server Plug-in that offers developers the ability to deploy their PowerBuilder NVOs to third-party application servers: All from the comfort of the familiar PowerBuilder IDE.

The deployed NVOs behave just like EJBs within the application server. PowerBuilders can captialize on this feature and leverage their existing code for use by clients other than PowerBuilder applications!
